A long history of caring for pets

The Brook Veterinary Surgery first opened its doors in 1992 when Susan Carter lovingly converted and extended a charming 1950s bungalow into a veterinary practice. Over the years, it grew into a thriving small animal practice, becoming a trusted part of the local community.

New owners, same commitment

In January 2005, after thirteen wonderful years as practice principal, Susan passed the torch to Matthew and Joanne Harrison. Under their dedicated ownership, The Brook has continued to flourish and grow, always keeping the needs of pets and their families at the heart of everything we do.

Modern facilities, traditional values

We’ve invested significantly in our practice to ensure your pets receive the very best care. In 2008 and 2018, we undertook a major modernisation projects, creating state-of-the-art facilities equipped with the latest veterinary technology. Despite these modern advances, we’ve never lost sight of what matters most – providing friendly, compassionate, professional service to every client who walks through our door.

From that converted bungalow in 1992 to the well-equipped practice you see today, our mission has remained unchanged: delivering excellent veterinary care with warmth, expertise, and genuine care for every pet we treat.
